What is minoxidil?
Minoxidil was originally created as a blood pressure medication, but patients began to notice that they were growing more hair! With a change in direction, doctors began prescribing minoxidil as a hair loss treatment that promotes fuller, healthier hair.
How does minoxidil work?
Topical minoxidil solution is used to stimulate hair growth in people suffering from baldness. It appears to have the greatest effect on the crown of the head (vertex, shown below).
